Drooling, sweating and farting, oh my!

Horses are funny animals. They’re even funnier when they’re undergoing a massage. They often make weird faces and noises, swish their tails, shake, stamp, kick, drool, urinate, pass gas, flinch, drop, stretch and when it’s all done, they look relaxed and feel good. (Yay, endorphins!)

After Treatment

Immediately following treatment, there are virtually no restrictions (unlike post-chiropractic work, which usually requires downtime). There are a few things you should do though:

  • Make sure your horse has access to water.

  • Hand walk your horse or turn out to pasture to allow the muscles to continue to stretch and recover.
